Bengaluru's hard water is the single most common cause of the dryness, dullness and breakage we see. A treatment helps, but a shower filter at home often helps more — and we will tell you that even though it earns us nothing.
Chemical smoothening and keratin are not the same thing. Smoothening restructures the hair bond and is semi-permanent; keratin coats and smooths the cuticle and washes out over months. Botox is a deep conditioning treatment, not a straightening one.
If your hair is already chemically damaged, we may recommend a course of repair treatments before any smoothening service. Stacking chemical processes on compromised hair is how hair breaks off.

What is the difference between keratin and hair smoothening?
Smoothening chemically restructures the hair's internal bonds and is semi-permanent — it grows out rather than washing out. Keratin coats and seals the cuticle to reduce frizz and add shine, and gradually washes out over three to five months. Smoothening changes hair structure; keratin improves hair surface.
How long does a keratin treatment last?
Typically three to five months, depending on how often you wash your hair and whether you use a sulphate-free shampoo. Sulphates strip the treatment out considerably faster.
Is hair botox the same as smoothening?
No. Despite the name, hair botox contains no botulinum and does not straighten hair. It is an intensive deep-conditioning treatment that fills damaged areas of the hair shaft, reducing frizz and adding softness while leaving your natural texture.
Will these treatments damage my hair?
Any chemical service carries some risk, which is why we assess hair condition first. If your hair is already compromised, we will recommend repair treatments before any smoothening service rather than taking your money and causing breakage.
Why is my hair dry and dull in Bengaluru?
Hard water is usually the main cause. It leaves mineral deposits on the hair shaft that block moisture and dull colour. A salon treatment helps, but installing a shower filter at home makes a bigger long-term difference.
